The Libertarian Party revives Australia’s oldest libertarian party, the Workers Party

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MELBOURNE, Australia - November 5, 2020: The Libertarian Party revives Australia’s oldest libertarian party, the Workers Party, first founded in 1975. Continuing the Workers Party’s legacy of anti-state, anti-war, and pro-market radical politics, the Libertarian Party is the party of principle. Put simply: “No person or group of persons has the right to initiate the use of force, fraud or aggression against another person or group of persons.”
The draft platform of the Libertarian Party, released 5 November 2020, calls for Australia to repudiate the national debt, end all military involvement in overseas conflicts, disband the Reserve Bank of Australia, legalise all drugs, immediately cease all “Orwellian State” activities, and cut all taxes to 0% while proclaiming “Taxation is theft”.
In asking Australians to “register your interest”, the Libertarian Party's primary goal will be to educate. The Libertarian Party promises to always put principles before votes. The Libertarian Party will be seeking political party registration in all federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
Most of all, the Libertarian Party seeks to make principled activism an enjoyable pursuit. "A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having", and according to American libertarian superstar, Dr. Ron Paul, a revolution needs music.
So turn on your stereos and start dancing, it’s time for a revolution.
