A party of principle, the Libertarian Party of Australia (LPA) revives Australia’s oldest libertarian party, the Workers Party, first founded in 1975. The Libertarian Party continues a long tradition of anti-state, anti-war, and pro-market radical politics.
What differentiates the Libertarian Party from the Workers Party? Very little. The Libertarian Party’s platform brings enhanced radicalism to the Workers Party’s original document. Further, on the advice given by Bob Howard in his 1979 essay, the Libertarian Party prioritises principles and education over electoral politics.
